Image
College life is often described as the time of growth, discovery and unforgettable experiences. For me, studying in Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College in Dhaka has been a journey filled with learning, challenges and personal development.  After my SSC examination, when I received my acceptance letter, I was filled with excitement. It was one of my most anticipated college. It was the beginning of a new chapter for me. I have heard about this college from my seniors a lot. The thought of stepping into this esteemed institution, with a new environment surrounded by talented peers and inspiring teachers filled me with sense of pride and eagerness to start this new journey.  The academic environment at Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College was both rigorous and refreshing. It was a lot different than my school life. Here i got to meet many talented and hardworking teachers who mentored us to think critically and excel in our chosen field. The curriculum was challenging bu...

Bangladesh 2024 mass uprising: A mirror image of Julius Caesar

Image
Bangladesh 2024 mass uprising: A mirror image of Julius Caesar Considering the recent protests of Bangladesh, it has interesting similarities with one of the most constructive writings of Shakespeare. The book "Julius Caesar" by Shakespeare and the uprisings of 2024 offer parallels in their examination of political unrest and power battles. Both highlight the difficulties of being a leader. People's discontent against ex Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's administration gave rise to the protests in Bangladesh in 2024. The protesters were tired of systematic corruption, economic mismanagement, and so called election. The country was democratic only in papers when in reality it has been autocratic all along. One of the key points was her unfair treatment towards the people who did not support her community. Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar", in contrast, dramatizes events that occurred in Rome in 44 BCE, while focusing a major part on Julius Caesar's assassi...

Doing it all until it feels unethical, cause yk YOLO!!!

20th year on planet Earth, with zero regrets. Life on this planet has always been a roller coaster ride to me. Well, all praises be to the Almighty for I haven't really regretted a single turn of the ride, even though at times it felt as if I am in a never-ending, frustrating loophole!!! However, among all these years in this adventurous world, 20th of mine has got to be the best. The key to “no regrets” to me is letting my inner child decide and not always be logical.  Here are some of my “zero regrets moments”: (Bestiesssss, do read till end) Craving street-food? Going on a street food haul?!? Gathered all of our Eidis (mom's gonna take it anyway, so better spend it before) and went to explore the buzzling city at night to satisfy our taste buds…. Friend’s wedding the night before an important exam? Simplicity of balance is the solution. Neither can I miss my friend’s big day, nor can I skip the test.  What can I do then? It’s not necessary that I need to revise it all the n...

Artistic escapes: A vibrant journey from canvas to craft

Image
Hey! I wanted to share a little about something that started as a casual experiment with paintbrushes soon turned into an adventure filled with colors, creativity and a whole lot of fun. From splashing paint on a canvas to crafting DIY projects and even decorating cakes, I found that art is everywhere. Art became my unpaid therapist during corona times when the world came to a standstill, and so did many of us.Actually the magic of art as a hobby is you're not doing it for an audience,a grade -- you're doing it because it feels good. All the stress, deadlines and worries seem to melt away while doing it.and the best part is, as you keep at it, you'll start to notice improvements naturally. (Painted this a few months ago) One thing that often stops people from doing art is the fear of not being "good" at it.But here's the secret:you don't have to be. It's all about the experience not the outcome.even if your drawing of a tree ends up looking more like a lo...

Aimless Journey

Being a doctor or engineer is every kid's aim in life. Surprisingly, the answer to the question, " Boro hoye ki hote chao? " is mostly not taught to any kid, however every time they are asked this question, the answer rare has something other than doctor or engineer.  I was no different too.In my case,I never preferred being a doctor. In fact,I hated doctors! Why? Because my little mind always thought that doctors just give injections(those blood tests every time you visit one),and I found injections painful. I still do though. This fear bound me to drop biology in my Alevels as I might had to deal with dead organisms body and injections. So,my answer used to be " engineer hobo ".  As I grew up,my answer remained same. Not because I solely wanted to be an engineer but because I wasn't sure about my aim in life. Apart from that universal question, a new question got added that is " ki engineer hoba? ". The answer was nothing but "I haven't d...
