Lost in the world of imagination and fiction
When the reality starts to tire me out and turn my life colorless , the fictional world fills my grey world full of vibrant colors , dazzling me every time I enter it .
Life gets monotonous easily , so for me the best way to relieve that monotony is to read novels of various genres , manga(Japanese comics), manhua(Korean comics), watching anime , movies and dramas . They are the keys to the door of my evasion.
I love being the spectator , so its no wonder that the fictional world calls for me and I heed to those siren’s song every single time.
The tour to these fictional world can be addicting but I feel it’s worth every moment to spend your time in it . At least it is for me.
My fascination for watching anime began long ago . My first ever anime was Haikyuu. It’s a sports anime that didn’t only introduce me to volleyball but taught me a lot of things like team work , persistence for victory , eagerness to learn new things and evolving into a better version of yourself . Since then I’ve never stopped watching . Your lie in April, Your name , Prince of stride , Delico’s nursery , Spirited away , Tsurune , Welcome to the ballroom, Code Realize, Norn9,Wind Breaker , I want to eat your pancreas , Grave of the fireflies , Meiji Tokyo Renka , The garden of words , Blue lock and many more anime made me feel a surge of various emotions, motivated me and taught me several life teachings . Not only that ,anime has a unique art style which is a visual feast . I also got to explore Japanese culture , their life style , their tradition through it . It is mainly because of anime and manga that I decided that I want to spend a part of my life in Japan and explore it.
Another thing that has my undivided attention is novels . Novels are the portal to a totally different world where my imaginations run wild and limitless. Fantasy novels are just the thing for that . I also like mysterious troupes , they always manage to keep my mind on the edge with the sudden plot twists and who doesn’t like a hint of romance in their books? For books my top picks are Harry Potter , The lord of the rings , Looking for Alaska , The girl on the train , Into deaths arm , The last song , At first sight , The lucky one ,Fantastic beasts and where to find them ,Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children,Twilight series , The notebook and a walk to remember .
Speaking of visual feast and eye candies, that’s where manhuas step in.Manhuas are not just stories , they are a universe brimming with magic , adventure , love and friendship . The main characters of the stories are often chosen ones with extraordinary abilities , working their way out of a miserable route and climbing all the way to the top .Their journeys are filled with trials and tribulations , testing their courage , loyalty and resolve . Along the way , they encounter a rich tapestry of side characters , each with their own backstories and motivations. It’s a journey filled with magic, intrigue and endless possibilities . At the top of my list is the manhua Villains are destined to die . It’s a manhua where the female protagonist is reincarnated into an Otome game as the villainess and works her way out from the miserable fate of the villainess all by herself . There are also many other manhuas like From a knight to a lady (with an adventurous trope), 19 days (portraying inseparable friendship between 4 friends) , Forced to be a princess after reincarnation (about revenge and slave emancipation) and many more .
Ultimately, my love for the fictional world runs deep since they always take me to places far beyond ordinary and a chance to dream . In a world where reality feels mundane , I’m always reminded that there is a world where I can always escape and get lost without any fear.
